Position Summary: The Chemical Production Specialist is responsible for accurately mixing chemicals according to precise formulations to produce finished goods for packaging. This role involves operating and maintaining compounding machinery, ensuring that production targets are met collaboratively with team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine batch specifications for final products and collect, measure, and weigh all required raw materials.
  • Recognize and accurately label over 200 chemical substances and their abbreviations.
  • Thoroughly clean empty containers as necessary to prepare for reuse.
  • Execute cleanup tasks after each production cycle.
  • Sanitize mixing equipment between different product batches.
  • Safely handle and transport heavy containers, utilizing dollies and pallet jacks.
  • Comply with all safety protocols and company regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Engage in safety training and promote a secure working environment.
  • Immediately report any safety concerns or incidents to a supervisor.
  • Notify supervisors of any equipment issues or maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure safe and proper operation of all machinery.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
  • Adhere to workplace safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to support the company's mission and values.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Steel-toed footwear is necessary to meet safety standards.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
  • Experience operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks is preferred.

Work Environment: This position involves working in a manufacturing setting that is not climate-controlled, with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.

Work Schedule: The candidate must be available for the following shifts:

  • Regular: Monday through Thursday, 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. (Fridays as needed)
  • Summer: Monday through Friday, 7 p.m. to 3:30 a.m.
  • Reliability and punctuality for scheduled shifts are crucial.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
