Autopsy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Necropsy Technician to join our team at Northern Biomedical Research Inc.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting necropsy procedures, including setup, tissue preparation, and maintaining equipment, while also mentoring entry-level technicians.

• Support necropsy procedures, including setup, tissue preparation, and maintaining equipment
• Mentor entry-level technicians in necropsy procedures and techniques
• Collaborate with Study Directors on protocols and procedures
• Perform advanced euthanasia and prosection techniques
• Collect and manage necropsy data, including review of study books and maintenance of equipment
• Manage stock supplies and maintain advanced equipment
• Handle drug administration, anesthesia induction, and preparation of solutions and fixatives

This is a non-exempt role that is eligible for overtime after 40 hours in a workweek and has no supervisory responsibilities.

Preferred qualifications include experience with a high school diploma or 1 year with an undergraduate degree, as well as LAT certification.

The role involves working in a laboratory setting with exposure to animal pathogens and chemicals, requiring the use of personal protective gear.

Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and extended shifts.
