Your Role
As a Property Maintenance Specialist at Invitation Homes, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality maintenance services in our single-family rental properties while ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Addressing maintenance service requests across various trades.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to enhance the living experience for all residents.
  • Conducting regular ProCare visits to perform proactive maintenance and repairs in residents' homes.
  • Educating residents on maintenance topics to promote understanding and care.
  • Performing general property condition assessments during visits and notifying management of urgent issues.
  • Utilizing Technician-specific reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Executing repairs in vacant properties during the marketing or turnover process.
  • Properly handling company-supplied tools, materials, and vehicles.
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned.

Your Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in residential repairs and maintenance or related fields.
  • Understanding of residential construction and mechanical systems, with the ability to perform general repairs in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, sheetrock, exterior structural, HVAC (minor), and appliances.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, along with strong verbal and written communication abilities; multilingual skills are a plus.
  • Comfort with mobile devices (i.e., iPad and/or iPhone) and various mobile applications.
  • A valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and any required state certifications.

Preferred Certifications
While not mandatory, the following certifications are advantageous:

  • OSHA 10
  • EPA Certification, Type I and II
  • HVAC Certification
  • CPO certification (pool)

Physical Requirements
This role requires the ability to:

  • Work regularly and consistently, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Provide basic hand and power tools.
  • Perform tasks that involve frequent climbing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, lifting, talking, and hearing.
  • Lift and/or move over 50 pounds and operate standard maintenance equipment as assigned.
