Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Administrative Coordinator to join our IACUC & IRB Administration team. As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive administrative support, ensuring the smooth operation of our Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and Institutional Review Board (IRB).


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the protocol submission process, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Communicate effectively with committee members and faculty regarding pre-review, revisions, approval emails, vet and safety review, chair review determination, and DMR poll.
  • Manage calendar invites, send reminder emails, disseminate meeting agenda, and follow-up on action items for the IACUC Task Force and IACUC Meetings.
  • Attend IACUC & IRB meetings and compose draft meeting minutes.
  • Communicate with committee members to confirm quorum, send reviewer assignments, etc.
  • Update Ongoing Reviews spreadsheets.
  • Confirm training assignments in Wistar Learning for all new personnel.
  • Responsible for record keeping and tracking for Pilot Studies and Adverse Events.
  • Maintain ACUsers email list.
  • Maintain SharePoint site and website management for IACUC / Wistar Animal Facility website.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent typing and computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and database management.
  • The ability to drive a project, think out of the box, and strategize accordingly.

Benefits

The Wistar Institute offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we offer an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
