Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to focus on Federal Contracts in the Energy industry. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in building and maintaining strong relationships within the federal sector, and extensive knowledge of the energy industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities in the federal sector within the energy industry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the federal government and energy sector.
  • Develop and present compelling proposals and presentations to potential clients.
  • Drive the entire sales process: target top prospects, identify solutions, negotiate, and close.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client needs are met and exceeded.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competition, and new opportunities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of federal contracts and regulations in the energy sector.
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance based on market trends and competitive landscape.
  • Ensure all business activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethics.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in business development, sales, or a related field within the energy sector.
  • Proven experience in securing federal contracts.
  • Exceptional relationship building skills, with a focus on nurturing and developing new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to persuade and influence at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong understanding of the energy industry, federal contracts, and regulations.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed business development goals.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and prospects.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and committed to delivering results.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
