Position Overview

Kelly Science, Engineering, Technology & Telecom is in search of an Environmental Packaging Project Manager for a prominent client in the medical device sector. This role is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to advancing innovative scientific solutions and are eager to elevate their professional journey.

Work Schedule: On-site, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

Contract Duration: Expected to last until the end of 2024, with a possibility of extension into 2025

Compensation: $55-60 per hour, with some flexibility

Key Responsibilities

  • The candidate should be acknowledged as a subject matter expert and possess proven experience in a technical project management capacity.
  • Collaboration across various functional areas and business units is essential, as the individual will engage with the Research and Development team for Contact Lenses, as well as the Corporate Sustainability and Manufacturing teams.
  • Effectively communicate with diverse internal and external stakeholders throughout the development process to assess and adopt new materials, methodologies, and suppliers aimed at enhancing product sustainability.
  • Contribute to the formulation of a strategic action plan and take the lead in executing this plan alongside relevant team members and stakeholders.
  • Influence other departments to assess and/or implement enhancements, providing necessary data to support resource allocation for these improvements.
  • The primary focus will be on packaging for Contact Lenses, with potential involvement in Lens Care, Surgical, Pharmaceutical, and other business units.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sustainability, particularly in plastics
  • Prior experience in project management is preferred
