Tetra Tech is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Planner to join our growing renewable energy and environmental consulting practice in New York State and the Eastern United States. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of environmental consulting and permitting experience, with a strong background in renewable energy development and project management.
Key Responsibilities- Manage renewable energy development projects from feasibility studies to project completion.
- Develop and implement environmental plans and strategies for renewable energy projects.
- Provide permitting support and ensure compliance with local and state regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Prepare and submit reports and proposals to clients and regulatory agencies.
- Bachelor of Science in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, or a closely related field.
- 8-10 years of professional consulting experience in environmental planning and permitting.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Prior experience with site development projects associated with utility scale and/or distributed generation solar energy projects in New York State is desirable.
- Prior FERC experience is a plus.
