Job Summary

The Assistant Store Manager is a key leadership role at Joann, responsible for supporting the Store Manager in achieving store success, customer satisfaction, and team engagement. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to drive sales, manage operations, and develop talent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, identifying and meeting their needs to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and motivate the store team to achieve sales goals, provide excellent customer service, and maintain a positive store environment.
  • Assist the Store Manager in managing store operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and store maintenance.
  • Coach and develop team members to improve sales, customer service, and overall store performance.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, products, and promotions to provide expert knowledge and support to the team.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of relevant retail experience, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand for long periods, and move around the store.
