Job Title: Manager, Donor Services

This is a key role within the Elutia team, responsible for setting and meeting the company's short-term goals and objectives. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of supplier relationship management with human tissue procurement organizations, including forecasting donor needs, negotiating supply arrangements, and identifying new supply partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of recovery partner relations, including invoicing, monthly reporting, donor record flow, and relationship development.
  • Manage routine communication with recovery partners, including family aftercare requests, disposition letters, discards, and recovery error reporting.
  • Act as a primary point of contact to the Elutia Medical Director and manage the gathering of donor records for determining donor eligibility.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of donor recovery data to track key performance indicators and drive improvements.
  • Communicate with customers to coordinate record review and donor release efforts, ensuring timely release of donors.
  • Initiate, investigate, and implement corrective actions for partner non-conformances and work with partners to initiate and close SCARs if required.
  • Monitor current SOPs to ensure they are current with AATB, FDA, and EBAA standards and revise accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Science or a Business-related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a regulated industry or a clinical or hospital setting.
  • Knowledge of diseases and medical terminology is required.
  • Medical Background (EMT, Lab Technologist, Nurse, Paramedic, Medical Transcriptionist, Eye Bank/Tissue Bank Industry) is preferred.
  • Experience with hospital/medical records is required.
  • Experience in an FDA-regulated environment, with knowledge of 21 CFR Part 1271, Human Cells, Tissues, and Cellular and Tissue-Based Products (HTC/P) is preferred.
  • Ability to understand and design policies and procedures based on FDA, AATB, and OSHA regulations.
  • AATB Certified Tissue Bank Specialist or willingness to obtain certification within two years of date of hire is required.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and build relationships outside of the department as well as outside the company (suppliers, regulatory agencies, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize work appropriately with a focus on timelines and deliverables.
  • Ability to drive results through partnership, mutual respect, and trust.
