Cherokee Federal is seeking a highly skilled Business Accountant to support our Client in Northern Virginia. As a Business Accountant, you will be responsible for handling financial and accounting actions, training events, and serving as a liaison between teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage basic accounting transactions in various accounting software and systems.
  • Monitor and maintain spend plans for fiscal years and program accounting records.
  • Coordinate with other entities to ensure compliance with regulations and procedures.
  • Reconcile receipts and expenditures for individual programs' monthly and quarterly financial statements.
  • Communicate directly with end users and project accounting reports and issues.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph level clearance.
  • Experience with accounting software such as Quickbooks and Peachtree.
  • Experience providing Business Consulting responsible for program support activities.
  • Good communication (written and oral) skills to perform briefings and complete required reports.
