The Just Recruitment Group Ltd is currently seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor for a prominent manufacturer in the engineering sector.

The role entails overseeing the maintenance team in both scheduled upkeep and urgent repairs across the facility. The primary objective is to guarantee the seamless operation of all machinery and infrastructure.


Standard Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure health and safety standards are upheld within the Maintenance Workshop, for the maintenance team, and for all machinery in the department.
- Maintain health and safety protocols during both planned and emergency maintenance tasks.
- Develop and manage a planned maintenance schedule, delegating tasks to team members.
- Prepare a monthly report for management detailing the budget requirements for the upcoming three months, including a comprehensive breakdown of planned work and associated costs.

- Participate in health and safety meetings, contributing to necessary improvements and engaging positively in the process.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels of essential spare parts for critical machinery.
- Be prepared to respond promptly (outside of regular hours) to address machinery breakdowns on-site.
- Conduct ongoing performance evaluations of team members, including annual reviews.


Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Completion of an apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering (Craft and Technician) or Foundry.
- Management or supervisory training, such as ILM Level 3 or higher.
- Training in hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Basic electrical qualifications in Electrical Maintenance.
- IOSH or NEBOSH certification.
- Ideally, a minimum of 5 years of experience as a maintenance technician or engineer.
- Preferably, at least 2 years of experience in a managerial role.
- Experience in team collaboration for 5+ years (with 2 or more team members).
- Ideally possess 5 GCSEs, including Mathematics, English, and Science (grade C or above).
- Proficient in Windows and MS Office applications.
