Banquet Supervisor Job Description

Avenue is a modern dining experience that combines the elegance of a Parisian brasserie with the sophistication of a luxurious beachside resort. As a Banquet Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our events and exceeding our guests' expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Event Management: Supervise the setup and execution of banquets, including communicating with team members, scheduling, and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Quality Control: Inspect function areas, table settings, and service delivery to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Communication: Meet with kitchen staff to review menus, coordinate AV equipment, and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Guest Services: Greet guests, respond to requests and complaints, and establish service recovery guidelines to ensure total guest satisfaction.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain procedures for securing inventory, equipment, and monies, and replenish supplies in a timely manner.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Ensure banquet facilities are clean, stocked, and in proper operational condition.
  • Team Leadership: Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in banquets and food and beverage operations, including 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Language: Fluent English required.
  • Skills: Proven ability to lead a team, communicate efficiently, and possess exceptional time management and organization skills.
