The Cordish Companies is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance work to ensure quality and safety standards are achieved and maintained.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the facility is in good working condition.
- Complete minor repairs such as replacing ceiling tiles, filters, light bulbs, and patching vinyl.
- Ensure equipment is prepared and operational for the next day's work.
- Monitor efficiency of equipment and electrical systems and make minor repairs and/or replacements as needed.
- Paint and finish furniture and fixtures as required.
- Maintain the front entrance area, parking lot, and/or garage in a clean and presentable manner.
- Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the exterior of the facility and grounds, including property signs and lighting.
- Follow procedures to ensure the security of inventory and assets and replenish supplies and inventory in a timely and efficient manner.
- Report all unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor.
- Respond to guest questions and requests in a courteous and prompt manner.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills and 1+ year(s) of general building maintenance and repair experience.
- Completion of high school diploma or related vocational training is preferred.
- Carrying, lifting, pulling, or pushing items weighing up to pounds.
- Frequently standing up and moving about the facility.
- Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility.
- Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and crawling.
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical skills, preventive maintenance procedures, and a reasonable understanding of building equipment and hand tools.
- Reading and writing abilities are utilized to document or record tasks completed, order supplies, receive instructions for the day, or read equipment repair manuals.
- Mathematical skills, including basic math, are used frequently.
