Maintenance Position Overview

The Cordish Companies is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance work to ensure quality and safety standards are achieved and maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the facility is in good working condition.
  • Complete minor repairs such as replacing ceiling tiles, filters, light bulbs, and patching vinyl.
  • Ensure equipment is prepared and operational for the next day's work.
  • Monitor efficiency of equipment and electrical systems and make minor repairs and/or replacements as needed.
  • Paint and finish furniture and fixtures as required.
  • Maintain the front entrance area, parking lot, and/or garage in a clean and presentable manner.
  • Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the exterior of the facility and grounds, including property signs and lighting.
  • Follow procedures to ensure the security of inventory and assets and replenish supplies and inventory in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Report all unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor.
  • Respond to guest questions and requests in a courteous and prompt manner.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
Requirements:
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills and 1+ year(s) of general building maintenance and repair experience.
  • Completion of high school diploma or related vocational training is preferred.
Physical Demands:
  • Carrying, lifting, pulling, or pushing items weighing up to pounds.
  • Frequently standing up and moving about the facility.
  • Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility.
  • Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and crawling.
  • Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical skills, preventive maintenance procedures, and a reasonable understanding of building equipment and hand tools.
  • Reading and writing abilities are utilized to document or record tasks completed, order supplies, receive instructions for the day, or read equipment repair manuals.
  • Mathematical skills, including basic math, are used frequently.
