Position Overview:

As a Member Service Representative, you will serve as the initial point of contact for our members, embodying the values and mission of Security Service Federal Credit Union. Your role will involve becoming well-versed in our diverse range of financial products and services, assisting members in achieving their financial aspirations. You will cultivate and maintain strong relationships by promoting various offerings such as checking and savings accounts, loans, credit cards, and insurance solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional service to our members, ensuring their needs are met with the utmost professionalism.
  • Achieve sales targets by identifying cross-selling opportunities and educating members about our digital services.
  • Provide comprehensive support by being cross-trained in both teller and banking functions, enhancing the overall member experience.

Compensation:

Starting pay is $20.00 per hour.

Qualifications:

At Security Service, we are committed to fostering career advancement. Our member service roles have a structured career path. Candidates may be considered for either a Member Consultant I or Member Consultant II position based on their experience.

Member Consultant I: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of two years of experience in retail banking, cash handling, customer service, or sales.

The ideal candidate will possess a customer-focused mindset, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in software applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook. Attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment are essential. Flexibility in work hours is required, and travel to other branch locations may be necessary for training purposes.

A willingness to learn and grow within the credit union is highly valued. Experience with banking systems and a proven track record of recommending suitable products and services to meet customer needs will set you apart. Successful Member Service Representatives excel at asking insightful questions to uncover member needs, ensuring they are informed about the solutions we provide.
