At Perry Homes, we are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Contracts Manager to join our team. This role will play a critical part in our company's success by collaborating with our Director of Contracts and Risk Management to execute our short-term and long-term plan to improve operational efficiency in all aspects of in-house commercial contracting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts, ranging from standard to mid-level complexity. They will also ensure internal approvals are received for contract deviations that arise during negotiations.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Tracking critical contract dates, deadlines, and progress on contract-related tasks and following up with internal stakeholders to drive progress.
  • Participating in meetings regarding contracting needs of internal stakeholders by developing agendas, determining action items, documenting, and following up on action items.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and proofreading various other legal documents.
  • Updating contract checklists and instructions to be shared with internal stakeholders and the Legal team.
  • Collaborating with the Director of Contracts and Risk Management to review resources related to contracts matter management, document management, Office 365, SharePoint, and other technology solutions for improving efficiency and management of electronic files and recordkeeping.
  • Aiding in the development of contract management team member(s).
  • Preparing and sending reports to the Director of Contracts and Risk Management and senior management, as requested.
  • Collaborating with the Director of Contracts and Risk Management on special projects.

Requirements include:

  • Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of relevant contract review experience required.
  • Knowledge of contract structure and ability to identify specific provisions required.
  • Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SharePoint, DocuSign, Evisort, and Litera preferred.
  • Transactional Paralegal experience preferred.
