We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Support Specialist to join our dynamic team at Ohio State University Physicians, Inc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Room patients and conduct thorough vital sign assessments, including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
- Complete patient interviews and histories to ensure accurate and comprehensive care.
- Prepare patients for examinations, tests, and treatments, and explain procedures in a clear and concise manner.
- Assist with procedures as ordered by physicians and may perform routine laboratory tests on samples.
- Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms for patients.
- Collect samples, such as blood, urine, and sputum, from patients.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least one of the following: a diploma from a Medical Assistant Program, a minimum of 1 year of medical assisting experience, Military Medic training, EMT-P (Paramedic) training, or equivalent combined relevant medical assisting experience and education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant Certification.
