Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Respiratory Care Nurse to join our team at SSM Health. As a key member of our Medical/Respiratory Care Unit, you will provide direct nursing care to patients requiring complex assessments and interventions.

Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Planning: Obtain comprehensive data from patients, families, and other healthcare providers to develop a holistic picture of patient needs or conditions.
  • Diagnosis and Intervention: Analyze and synthesize data to determine diagnoses or conditions relevant to care, and implement plans to attain optimal outcomes.
  • Coordination and Implementation: Coordinate implementation with patients, families, and interprofessional teams, and evaluate processes and progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interprofessional teams, and contribute to the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
  • Experience: No experience required.
  • Licensure: Registered Professional Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of employment.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. The ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is also required.
