Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Respiratory Care Specialist to join our team at SSM Health. As a key member of our Med/Resp Care Unit, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Monitor and manage patients with respiratory and medical illnesses, including COPD, TB, PE, pneumonia, and respiratory failure.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Conduct patient education and provide support to patients and families.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Experience in critical care or respiratory care preferred.
