Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Respiratory Care Specialist to join our team at SSM Health. As a key member of our Med/Resp Care Unit, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients with complex respiratory and medical conditions, including COPD, TB, pneumonia, and respiratory failure.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional team to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, analyze data, and synthesize information to inform clinical decisions.
  • Implement evidence-based practices and stay current with the latest research and guidelines in respiratory care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri or eligible for compact licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certifications.
  • Experience in critical care or respiratory care preferred.
