Job Title: Director of Financial Aid

Arizona College of Nursing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Financial Aid to join our team. As a key member of our Enrollment Services department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial well-being of our students.

Job Summary:

The Director of Financial Aid will be responsible for managing the campus financial aid department, ensuring compliance with federal Title IV guidelines, and providing exceptional customer service to our students and families. You will work closely with our Executive Director, Enrollment Services, and Regional Director, Financial Aid, to increase efficiencies within the department and provide sensitive and confidential financial aid counseling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Counsel students to determine their eligibility for Title IV funding, institutional loans, agency assistance, Federal Work study, and scholarships.
  • Assist with the administration, compliance, and reconciliation of federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs.
  • Develop and disseminate financial aid information through presentations, workshops, and publications.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director, Enrollment Services, and Regional Director, Financial Aid, to increase efficiencies within the department.
  • Provide sensitive and confidential financial aid counseling regarding aid options available to students and families.
  • Monitor the awarding of financial aid to students and ensure awarding on all new students is accurate.
  • Maintain the privacy of student data.
  • Answer questions and provide support to students via email, telephone, and various other communication methods.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Three years of experience in Title IV aid administration, preferably in management or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
  • Minimum one year of direct supervisory experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • High degree of professionalism and discretion dealing with confidential information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
