Job Description

The International Employee Management team at Arizona State University seeks a highly skilled Compliance Coordinator to join their team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for monitoring inbound and outbound international employees, communicating compliance responsibilities, and ensuring accuracy and completeness of payroll and other records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review payroll data daily to confirm inbound international employees and coordinate compliance, including work authorization, tax setup, treaties, and SSN applications.
  • Process incoming documents within the tracking and compliance software and payroll system.
  • Communicate changes and provide guidance and support to thousands of international students and employees, including high-volume email management.
  • Review periodic payroll and compliance reports for accuracy, coordinating with Human Resources, Payroll, International Students and Scholars Center, and other departments.
  • Assist in implementing a new system and adapt to changes in job duties and manage environments of change.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and two years of administrative/coordinator program experience, or six years of progressively responsible experience, or any equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Experience in Excel and other database skills, reviewing and analyzing large data sets, and detailed orientation.
  • Effective communication skills, ability to take complex technical rules and requirements, and communicate them to a diverse population.
  • Flexibility, prioritization, and process changes, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy in a high-volume team.
  • Ability to multi-task, approach issues from different angles, and find solutions.
  • Self-motivation and ability to take initiative.

Arizona State University offers a competitive salary, a signing bonus of $750, and a $1,250 bonus after completing six months of employment. The university also offers partially remote work after the training period is complete.
