Wastewater Treatment Facility Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wastewater Treatment Facility Operator to join our team at the County of Delaware, OH. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the proper operation of our treatment facilities and package plants, ensuring the discharge of high-quality effluent and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine inspections of treatment facilities and perform laboratory testing to ensure quality and compliance
- Monitor and report abnormalities or problems to supervisors or on-call personnel
- Calibrate, operate, and maintain complex laboratory equipment and perform field testing for treatment facilities
- Collect and deliver samples to laboratories as needed and manage chain of custody reports
- Perform routine and corrective repairs, as well as preventative measures to protect equipment
- Responsible for data entry, logging, and record keeping, including spreadsheets and databases
- Clean and maintain specific areas of the facility as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Ohio Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
- Commercial Driver's License class B with necessary endorsements preferred
- OEPA Class I Wastewater Operator certificate required, Class II preferred
