Job Summary:

Educated Solutions Corp is seeking a skilled Mechanical/Electrical Technician to join our team in a Data Center environment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data center facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical and Mechanical Systems Oversight: Deliver oversight of electrical and mechanical systems, including but not limited to: Universal Power Supply (UPS) systems, generators, chillers, Electrical Distribution, HVAC systems, Building Management Systems (BMS) systems, and CMMS Work Dispatching.
  • Daily Site Inspections: Perform daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering (M&E) systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
  • Work Execution: Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures in accordance with Environment, Health, and Safety Policy - ensuring all safety processes and PPE requirements are followed.
  • Vendor Management: Oversee third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with organizational developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws/regulations.
  • Site Visits: Accompany vendors on site visits on an as needed basis and ensure site standards are met.
  • Process Development: Create and develop work processes, Job Hazard Analysis reports, and SOPs for critical work with risk assessment. Ensure that CERM documents and logbooks are updated.
  • Training and Development: Complete all required training to ensure successful completion of all job-related responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience in either the Mechanical or Electrical trade with ability to learn Data Center Operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a Data Center environment preferred
  • Knowledge of emergency response/standby/call out activities and protocols preferred
  • Knowledge of Critical Facility and Data Center equipment and components including UPS, PDU, STS, EG, CRAC, CRAH preferred
  • Understanding of 24/7/365 Data Center environments, and the working restrictions applicable to such environments preferred.
