Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine inspections of treatment facilities and perform routine analysis using approved standard operating procedures.
- Monitor facility operations, SCADA computers, and report abnormalities or problems to supervisors or on-call personnel.
- Calibrate, operate, and maintain complex laboratory equipment, including microscopes for aquatic organism identification.
- Collect and deliver samples to laboratories, manage chain of custody reports, and perform field testing for treatment facility operations.
- Perform routine and corrective repairs, take preventative measures to protect equipment, and maintain facility grounds.
- Record data in various spreadsheets and databases, including regulatory sites, and maintain confidentiality of job-related information.
- Attend training sessions, video conferences, and workshops to stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record is required.
- A Commercial Driver's License class B with necessary endorsements is preferred.
- An OEPA Class II Wastewater Operator certificate is required; Class I Operators may be considered.
