We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wastewater Facility Operations Specialist to join our team at the County of Delaware, OH. Key Responsibilities- Facility Operations: Conduct routine inspections of treatment facilities, perform laboratory testing, and monitor SCADA systems to ensure optimal facility performance.
- Water Quality Management: Collect and analyze water samples, identify and classify aquatic organisms, and perform field testing to determine treatment facility conditions.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine and corrective repairs, take preventative measures to protect equipment, and maintain facility grounds.
- Data Management: Record data, log entries, and maintain spreadsheets and databases to track facility performance and regulatory compliance.
- Training and Development: Attend training sessions, workshops, and video conferences to stay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certifications: OEPA Class II Wastewater Operator certificate required; Class I Operators may be considered.
- Experience: Proven experience in wastewater treatment facility operations, laboratory testing, and equipment maintenance.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and excellent communication skills.
This is a full-time position that may require working varied shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
