Position Summary:

Kikiktagruk Inupiat Corporation is in search of a Construction Project Manager who will oversee the successful and profitable execution of designated projects. This pivotal role involves leading project teams through all phases of Federal general construction initiatives, encompassing tasks such as initial estimates, scope and design development, subcontractor selection, and ensuring compliance with safety, scheduling, quality, and profitability standards within the Federal sector.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the project team to confirm pricing, labor productivity, and quantities in project estimates.
  • Guide the team in establishing the project budget.
  • Direct the development and execution of the project performance plan.
  • Oversee the creation and adherence to the Project CPM schedule and short-interval planning schedules.
  • Ensure timely updates to the CPM schedule and maintain accurate short-interval planning schedules.
  • Manage project buyout and subcontractor risk assessment efficiently.
  • Provide guidance to onsite management to ensure effective and budget-compliant self-performed work.
  • Facilitate team coordination regarding change order management.
  • Engage with project teams, architects, engineers, and clients on design-build and preconstruction matters.
  • Generate Project Estimates utilizing RS Means/4 Clicks, maintaining accurate cost reports.
  • Supervise project progress and deliver updates on schedule and budget adherence.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements, building codes, safety inspections, and local regulations.
  • Manage client and end-user relationships at the project level.
  • Guarantee project completion within the established timeline and budget.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant Project Management experience in the Federal construction sector is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in reading Federal contract documents and adhering to their requirements.
  • Familiarity with small business and 8(a) compliance regulations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership and discernment skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple teams and projects simultaneously.
  • Capability to analyze and strategize effectively in challenging situations.
  • Experience in adhering to strict budgetary constraints.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the construction industry and Federal market.
  • Ability to interpret complex project blueprints and specifications.
  • Familiarity with industry software such as Excel, MS Project, Procore, and others is preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • OSHA 30 certification and completion of the ARC First Responder Course are preferred or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Control Management certification is preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain background clearance for access to military and Federal sites.
  • Must possess an unwavering commitment to safety.

Work Environment:

  • The role involves both office work and site visits under various weather conditions.
  • Travel between project sites may be required.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to navigate uneven terrain and various surfaces.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear.
  • Frequent use of hands for handling and feeling.
  • Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or reaching may be necessary.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
