Position Summary


As a Clinical Psychotherapist at Cedar Crest Hospital & RTC, you will be instrumental in delivering therapeutic services to individuals and families, concentrating on the assessment and management of emotional and psychological challenges.

Your role will encompass performing comprehensive psychosocial evaluations, formulating treatment strategies, leading therapy sessions, and working collaboratively with a diverse team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Implement psychotherapeutic methods and strategies in providing care to individuals and families aimed at addressing diagnosed emotional and psychological issues.
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial evaluations and establish an initial discharge plan.
  • Facilitate individual, group, or family therapy sessions as deemed appropriate based on the patient's treatment strategy.
  • Develop initial treatment plans for patients based on evaluations and coordinate any additional services required, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Keep accurate records of therapy services rendered to each patient in accordance with facility and professional standards, updating as required.
  • Manage a designated caseload effectively.
  • Engage in treatment team discussions and collaborate with other professionals to enhance service delivery for patients, in alignment with their treatment plans.
  • Services may be provided in either inpatient or outpatient environments.
  • May involve case management, discharge planning, or aftercare coordination as needed.
  • Exhibit a compassionate, professional demeanor towards clients at all times. When patient needs are unmet, acknowledge and address concerns promptly. Prioritize patient safety above all.

  • Undertake other responsibilities and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience working with a similar patient demographic is required.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS:

CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess or be eligible for state or national licensure as a professional therapist.
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification are required (training provided upon hire).
  • First aid certification may be necessary based on state or facility requirements.
