Job Overview

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is a leading power engineering consultant firm that provides engineering, system planning, and studies, technical consultation, project management, surveying, environmental planning, commissioning/testing, and construction services to electric utilities, energy developers, and industrials throughout the U.S.

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Cumberland, ME. The successful candidate will provide assistance and technical support to multiple project managers and other office staff, including document control, handling and filing, assembly of engineering documents, preparation of meeting agendas, meeting minutes, project reports, document tracking logs, and purchase orders.

The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of contracts, change orders, invoicing, project work scopes, purchase orders, and general engineering documents. Under direct supervision of the Engineering Manager, the successful applicant will provide assistance and technical support to multiple project managers and other office staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document control and handling
  • Assembly of engineering documents
  • Preparation of meeting agendas and minutes
  • Project reports and document tracking logs
  • Purchase orders and quality control documentation
  • Supporting client relations and material ordering
  • Supporting project financial controls

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years direct experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint ERP software
  • Occasional travel required
