Position Summary:
The role of the Process Safety Management (PSM) Coordinator is crucial in overseeing the PSM, Risk Management Plan (RMP), and CAA 608 programs. This position ensures regulatory compliance and the operational integrity of industrial refrigeration systems, particularly ammonia and other cooling processes across multiple facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of PSM, RMP, and CAA 608 programs, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining the integrity of refrigeration systems.
  • Conduct thorough gap analyses and prepare documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate meetings and participate in Management of Change (MOC), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), and PSM audits.
  • Deliver training sessions to Foster Farms personnel to ensure adherence to safety protocols and enhance competency.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to support compliance efforts.
  • Ensure alignment with Corporate Safety and Risk Management policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in industrial refrigeration, preferably with two-stage ammonia systems.
  • Possession of a two-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • Certification from the Refrigeration Engineers Technician Association (RETA) is preferred.
  • OSHA Certification is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.
  • Capacity to work in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs and technical specifications related to ammonia refrigeration.
  • Familiarity with complex regulatory requirements and OSHA Emergency Response standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain safe work practices and follow detailed instructions.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Effective communication skills and a strong team player mentality.
  • Willingness to undergo a criminal background check and drug testing.
