Position Overview:
The Virginia Department of Human Resource Management is seeking a dedicated Adjudication Specialist to provide essential legal support in the management of the Agency's adjudication processes. This role involves the thorough analysis of investigative documentation, preparation of cases for legal proceedings, and the presentation of cases during both informal and formal hearings. The specialist will also be responsible for making informed adjudication recommendations to Board Administrators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and assess complex data, effectively communicating findings both verbally and in writing.
- Apply knowledge of legal principles, practices, and processes in daily tasks.
- Manage time and assignments efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the legal and regulatory environment.
- Understand the Administrative Process Act and the regulations governing health regulatory boards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in preparing witnesses for legal testimony.
- Proven track record in presenting cases in judicial or administrative settings.
- Skilled in drafting legal documents and memoranda based on comprehensive analysis of legal and technical issues.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in advocacy and presentations.
