Role Overview:
The Adjudication Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of the community by providing essential legal support in the adjudication processes of the agency. This position involves a thorough analysis of investigative reports, the preparation of cases for legal proceedings, and the presentation of these cases during both informal and formal hearings. The specialist will also be responsible for making informed adjudication recommendations to Board Administrators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and evaluate complex data, effectively communicating findings both orally and in writing.
- Apply knowledge of legal principles, practices, and processes in daily tasks.
- Manage time and assignments efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the legal and regulatory environment.
- Understand the Administrative Process Act and relevant laws governing health regulatory boards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in preparing witnesses for legal testimony.
- Proven track record in presenting cases in judicial or administrative settings.
- Ability to draft legal documents based on detailed analysis of technical issues and factual reports.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in advocacy and presentation.
