Modern Machinery is seeking a qualified professional to fill the position of a Technology Solutions Expert (TSE) for our Southern Idaho territory. As a TSE, you will play a crucial role in supporting the marketing efforts, sales, and technical activities of Modern Machinery's 'Intelligent Machine Control' and 'Smart Construction' products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Modern Machinery's Core Values: Demonstrate a deep understanding of the company's mission and vision, and promote them effectively.
  • Adhere to Company Policies: Follow all company policies, processes, and procedures, and exercise safe work practices to contribute to the achievement of the company's safety goals.
  • Develop Sales Strategies: Assist Territory Managers and the Smart Construction Business Manager in developing sales for all Komatsu Intelligent Machines.
  • Market Smart Construction Applications: Assist the Smart Construction Business Manager in the development of Komatsu SmartConstruction applications in the marketplace.
  • Direct Customer Sales: Direct customer sales of intelligent equipment to customers where designated.
  • Monitor Rental Fleet: Assist in monitoring the rental fleet of intelligent equipment in areas of responsibility.
  • Improve Product Support: Assist the Product Support Group to improve product support sales for associated intelligent machine products.
  • Provide Training: Provide training to Territory Managers and others within the company regarding intelligent products, SmartConstruction applications, and other machine control related items.
  • Schedule Product Sales Training: Assist in scheduling product sales training for customers.
  • Conduct Customer Studies: Provide customers with recommendations as to product selection when requested, utilizing production software and industry knowledge.
  • Maintain Manufacturer Relationships: Maintain good working relationships with represented manufacturers.
  • Assist Parts and Service Departments: Assist parts and service departments utilizing your expertise to help solve customer problems when necessary.
Qualifications
  • Location: The desired location for this role is Boise, ID.
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer focus and commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Personal Accountability: Personal accountability and self-management to prioritize and complete all tasks required of the position.
  • Teamwork: Teamwork: cooperate and support others within Modern Machinery and within a customer's organization.
Desired Education and/or Experience
  • Education: High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in the heavy equipment industry.
  • GPS/Machine Control Experience: Minimum of three years GPS/machine control experience preferred.
  • Driver's License: Current, valid driver's license.
  • Computer Proficiency: Computer proficiency required.
