Overview: Venture Solar is on the lookout for a skilled and results-oriented professional with a solid understanding of solar technology to join our team as a Virtual Sales Specialist. This role is tailored for confident and seasoned solar sales experts.

This position diverges from conventional virtual sales roles, as you will support a consultant who is present at the client's residence, focusing on the technical elements of the project, financing options, and finalizing the sale. A sales representative will arrive at the client's home to gather utility data, capture images, provide a high-level overview of the programs, and share the company's background with the client. At this point, you will join the meeting virtually to discuss equipment selections, create a tailored design for the client, analyze their current and anticipated electricity expenses, and ultimately present a proposal to close the sale. We refer to this approach as Hybrid Appointments, which combines both in-person and virtual elements.

These appointments are pre-scheduled and qualified, ensuring that you only participate in meetings where your team member has already engaged with the client and collected the necessary utility information. This method optimizes your time and maximizes your earning potential in the industry.

With the advantage of remote work, you can conduct a high volume of consultations without the need for travel or dealing with no-show appointments. The only required travel for remote specialists will be for monthly sales meetings and occasional team gatherings. Training and onboarding will be conducted in person.

Compensation:

We offer a compensation package that exceeds industry standards, including a base salary and commission structure designed to attract top talent. We understand that as a highly skilled closer, your time is invaluable, which is why we have structured this role to minimize travel time and ensure that the best closers in the industry can engage with 3-6 clients daily.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the solar industry
  • Proficiency in solar design software
  • In-depth knowledge of solar financing and economics (lease, loan, PPA, cash, prepaid lease)
  • Experience with various financing platforms (Sunnova, LightReach, IGS, Dividend, Service Finance Company, Mosaic)
  • Maintain a closing rate of 35% or higher
  • Successfully complete the Design Optimization Evaluation
  • Exhibit a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to continuous learning and adaptation
  • Demonstrate the ability to close deals in a competitive landscape

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with management to optimize a daily schedule focused on maximizing presentations
  • Close your own referrals and self-generated opportunities within Hybrid Appointments
  • Engage with 40-70 new prospects monthly, aiming to close at least 20 opportunities
  • Participate in monthly in-person sales meetings
  • Work with Junior Solar Consultants to advance opportunities from design to closure
  • Ensure compliance with the sales process, including app downloads, referral generation, and credit checks
  • Independently generate contracts and manage the sales lifecycle from appointment to closure
