Position Overview:

The Fire Protection Systems Construction Supervisor will oversee the construction of fire protection systems for new industrial and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of NFPA codes, design and installation methods, hydraulic calculations, and material lists for fire sprinkler systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of sprinkler construction projects
  • Oversee job costing and project timelines
  • Collaborate with designers to finalize and submit designs
  • Ensure all necessary permits are obtained and managed
  • Provide weekly project updates to management
  • Assist in managing warehouse and tool inventory
  • Coordinate contract job change orders
  • Understand the design and layout of fire sprinkler systems, including hydraulic calculations and field surveying
  • Manage installation coordination among various trades
  • Maintain budget oversight and cost management

Qualifications:

  • NICET certification is preferred but not mandatory
  • General mechanical knowledge is essential
  • Experience in fire protection installation or design is required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with specialty items such as fire pump installation, dry and preaction systems, and anti-freeze systems

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The supervisor will oversee installation labor on assigned projects. Successful candidates will be required to pass a drug test and pre-employment background screening.
