Position Overview:

We are currently in search of a Commercial Underwriter who will play a crucial role in evaluating and making decisions on loans with Total Credit Exposure ranging from $0 to $3 million, while effectively balancing risk and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Loan Evaluation and Decision Making:
- Conduct thorough underwriting and decision-making for both renewals and new credit applications, ensuring comprehensive due diligence and accurate risk assessments.
- Adhere to the established quality standards as per Old National Bank's underwriting guidelines, with evaluations from Loan Review and regulatory bodies ensuring compliance.
- Make informed credit decisions that balance risk with growth potential, utilizing the assigned lending authority based on the approval matrix.
- Deliver precise and high-quality analyses while meeting client-driven timelines.
2. Collaborative Engagement:
- Provide expert credit insights through a consultative approach, assisting in the structuring of loans while applying a thorough understanding of Old National Bank's guidelines and policies.
- Ensure exceptional internal customer service and embrace new processes and tools to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial credit analysis and underwriting.
- Proficient in independently analyzing and interpreting financial statements.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
