Job Title: Systems Engineer II

Raytheon is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer II to join our Advanced Airborne RF (AARF) Systems Engineering department in Goleta, California. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring program objectives are achieved.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Systems Engineer II to support our Electronic Warfare Systems product line. The selected candidate will interface with the Integrated Product Team Lead, Chief Engineer, and other stakeholders to ensure program objectives are achieved. This is an exciting new role that will immerse you in a fast-paced, team-based, and challenging technical environment where you can stand out and thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine requirements for products or systems based on customer information and provide traceability to these requirements.
  • Capture requirements in specific documents such as specifications and interface control documents.
  • Ensure requirements are clear, concise, understandable, and verifiable.
  • Trace the flow of requirements between different parts of the program to ensure all areas have the complete information appropriate to their activity.
  • Ensure all requirement changes are assessed for impact to the overall system and subsystems and that implemented changes are tracked and controlled.
  • Selected candidate will be required to obtain and maintain special access program (SAP) clearance.
Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of prior systems engineering experience.
  • Experience with systems design and requirements engineering on EW/Radar programs.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong RF experience and knowledge of microwave modules.
  • Technical team leadership experience of minimum of three engineers.
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (Cameo Enterprise Architecture (SysML specifically), digital thread concepts, digital engineering, MBSE with DevSecOps).
  • Experience leading STE development (and prime hardware) test activities.
  • Experience with security requirements related to government testing.
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with investigation within five years.

This role is also eligible for the Re-Empower Program. Upon completion of the program, based on performance and contributions, participants will be eligible for a career at RTX.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
