Business Development Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand our portfolio in the government contracting space. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, responding to RFPs, building strong relationships with clients and partners, and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve growth targets
  • Identify new business opportunities and potential clients through market research, networking, and other means
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners to grow business revenue
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute targeted sales strategies
  • Manage the sales process from lead generation to closing deals
  • Analyze market trends and competition to inform business development strategies
  • Monitor and report on sales performance and provide recommendations for improvement
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field
  • Proven experience (5 years) as a Business Development Manager or similar role
  • Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with both government and commercial clients and partners
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Commission and Bonus Structure: In addition to base salary, this position offers a competitive commission and bonus structure.

Location: This position is based in the MD area and requires local candidates.
