Summary Description:

The Technology Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the technological framework of the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC). This role involves establishing and implementing standardized protocols and procedures to ensure the sustainability of this national nonprofit, utilizing best practices in change management. The Technology Operations Manager will collaborate with a team dedicated to supporting CLINIC's mission-driven initiatives. This position entails direct supervision of the Web Manager and Web Coordinator, serving as the primary contact between CLINIC leadership and our IT Managed Service Provider (MSP). The ideal candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm, organization, meticulousness, and exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to adapt to evolving priorities and strategies impacting CLINIC's IT infrastructure projects. Additionally, the candidate should possess experience in staff supervision, including performance evaluation and project management.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and propose enhancements to strengthen and expand CLINIC's information technology systems and resources.
  • Work alongside the Director of Operations and MSP vendor to define project scopes and facilitate implementation.
  • Assist in ensuring IT data security, risk management, and disaster recovery processes are established and regularly reviewed for effectiveness.
  • Oversee the installation and maintenance of all hardware, software, and systems, assessing technology services from various perspectives, including cost-effectiveness and compliance.
  • Coordinate with the Office and Facilities Manager to maintain company hardware and software in alignment with existing and new office locations.
  • Plan and conduct staff training on new IT tools and technologies in partnership with the MSP and other team leaders.
  • Directly manage the Web Manager, whose responsibilities include the daily upkeep of the CLINIC website and CRM/CMS, as well as related development projects.
  • Act as the main contact for vendor relationships related to IT infrastructure projects, including:
    1. Building and maintaining relationships with approved vendors.
    2. Implementing vendor selection processes to secure optimal partnerships.
    3. Establishing performance assessment standards for approved vendors.
    4. Evaluating and improving current vendor management programs.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, with advanced coursework in information systems, technology, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience managing technology projects and initiatives, ideally within a nonprofit context.
  • Prior experience in IT operations support, including administering data systems, security, networking, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 products, including Azure Cloud Administration.
  • Experience collaborating with IT Managed Service Providers.
  • Familiarity with CiviCRM.
  • Experience in website development, preferably with Drupal.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to handle sensitive data with confidentiality.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the capacity to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to:
    • Identify technology needs and present recommendations to decision-makers.
    • Create clear communications for senior leadership regarding strategic business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to design, develop, and implement IT strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Ability to build consensus among diverse groups and facilitate critical discussions.
