Technical Sales Professional

Fortinet is seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Professional to join our team. This individual will work closely with our Major Account Manager in a defined territory, supporting the sales organization in all technical matters related to pre-sales, sales calls, and post-sales.
Key Responsibilities:- Pre-sales: Assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical perspective.
- Sales calls: Serve as the main technical resource on sales calls, providing information and educating customers and partners on features, specifications, functionality, integration, and other technical aspects.
- Conversant with networking applications and solutions.
- Post-sales: Be the lead technical contact for identified accounts, resolving technical issues and working closely with the technical support team and engineering.
- Provide assistance to identified customers with post-sales training.
- 5-8 years of experience in technical/pre-sales support as a sales or systems engineer.
- 5-7 years of experience in LAN/WAN/Internet services administration.
- Proven understanding of DNS and NFS, SMTP, HTTP, TCP/IP.
- Knowledge of routing, switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, network security, intrusion detection, and antivirus technologies.
- Solid understanding of RADIUS, PKI, IKE, certificates, L2TP, IPsec, firewall, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, and 3DES.
- Experience with encryption and authentication technologies is required.
- Exceptional presentation skills.
- The Technical Sales Professional will customarily and regularly work outside of their office or home office engaged in selling, including travel as needed to make a sale.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $130,000 - $190,000, depending on location and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
