Position Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified Project Manager to oversee the technical, scheduling, and financial components of custom-engineered projects and complex equipment orders. This role is pivotal in ensuring that customer specifications are met while effectively managing the project's business aspects. You will also be responsible for reporting project outcomes and status updates to the management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer order projects with a focus on delivering quality results.
  • Act as the primary liaison for customers, coordinating communication on significant project matters.
  • Define project scope and organize tasks for the project team.
  • Guide the project team to meet customer expectations, budget constraints, timelines, and technical specifications.
  • Establish project priorities and resolve resource conflicts in collaboration with other project managers or management.
  • Develop and track project schedules, implementing corrective actions as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Monitor project profitability and negotiate change orders when required.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain comprehensive project management documentation.
  • Process project orders to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Provide ongoing customer support during the warranty period as outlined in contracts.
  • Assist the Credit Department in reconciling trade receivables as needed.
  • Participate in scope reviews and resolution processes for high-value sales proposals.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to assess outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Serve as the primary contact for customer communications regarding project issues.
  • Facilitate corporate activities to align with customer expectations.
  • Report on customer program status to senior management as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business or technical discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience in Project Management, Project Engineering, Customer Service, or Proposal Engineering.
  • Strong skills in team management, planning, organization, time management, and communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and accurately.
  • Familiarity with DEC products and system integration practices is advantageous.
