Position Overview

We are in search of a meticulous and analytical finance leader to oversee our finance and accounting functions. Key responsibilities include:

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead the annual budgeting process from inception to completion, formulating the operational and hiring strategy.
  • Deliver insights to the board and leadership regarding performance tracking against established plans.

Strategic Leadership

  • Champion and guide strategic projects that involve new partnerships and product introductions.
  • Oversee the quarterly setting of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and monitor progress against these goals.
  • Collaborate in the development and maintenance of compensation plans for sales and account management teams.

Finance & Accounting Operations

  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely monthly financial closings and provide necessary reporting to stakeholders.
  • Manage the collections process and oversee vendor payments.
  • Administer cash management across operational accounts and treasury functions.

Fundraising and Investor Relations

  • Act as a trusted advisor to Silq's leadership regarding the financial needs of the organization, engaging with equity investors and debt providers during fundraising efforts.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to prepare quarterly board materials and documentation for special board meetings.

Tax Compliance and Regulatory Affairs

  • Ensure timely filing and payment of taxes.
  • Oversee compliance with industry-specific regulations as well as state and local requirements.

Thought Leadership and Strategic Contributions

  • As the head of the finance organization, you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior management and department heads, providing financial insights and analytical support for critical strategic initiatives across various functions.

Qualifications: You should consider applying if you possess:

  • 5-10 years of progressive experience in finance, with a preference for backgrounds in investment banking, private equity, or venture capital.
  • Experience managing small, efficient teams, particularly those based internationally.
  • A history of working with or advising growth-stage startups.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • A positive, proactive mindset.
  • Comfort in navigating ambiguity and developing processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across functions.
