We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of FP&A to lead our financial planning and analysis efforts. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the consolidated profit and loss statement, influencing key decision-makers to deliver long-term growth and profitability.
- Identify and assess important risks and opportunities, collaborating with the business to propose solutions and evaluate investment cases.
- Design and own the operating plan, including long-range planning, annual planning, quarterly forecasting, and monthly management reporting of financial performance.
- Prepare presentations for company executives and the board of directors on business strategy, plans, and performance.
- Collaborate with the people team to manage and drive workforce strategy.
- Drive analytics and reporting infrastructure within Square, serving as the primary point of contact for Block Finance data infrastructure initiatives.
- Partner with functional leads in Square Finance & Strategy to build growth investments into products and ecosystem.
- Partner with Corp F&S to drive investments across the profit and loss statement and enhance reporting capabilities for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the Square CFO on special projects impacting the Square BU and Block business.
- Lead, manage, and scale the Central F&S team, including a small team of data scientists, to ensure FP&A operates as best-in-class.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, with a strong track record of driving business growth and profitability.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess risks and opportunities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to prepare and present complex financial information to senior executives and the board of directors.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
