Your role will encompass a variety of critical functions:

  • Lead the financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes for studio-wide operational expenses and capital expenditures. Collaborate with department leaders to develop and maintain budgetary plans and staffing forecasts, providing ongoing updates throughout the fiscal year.
  • Work closely with Production Accounting and Technology Finance teams to ensure timely and accurate monthly forecasting submissions.
  • Analyze and present discrepancies between actual financial outcomes and forecasted estimates, identifying key issues and trends for executive review.
  • Enhance and manage the overhead and production planning tools, focusing on the standardization and automation of reporting processes to optimize the use of internal systems.
  • Support high-profile reporting initiatives for DreamWorks Animation's Development and Production sectors, including the consolidation of monthly financial outcomes, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Controllership teams to facilitate quarterly closing activities.
  • Engage in strategic analyses as needed, providing insights to management regarding the implications of various business trends and decisions, along with actionable recommendations for improvement.
