About the Role

The Senior Director of Operations Finance is a key leadership position within Ajinomoto Foods North America, responsible for overseeing the finance organization across eight production facilities and Supply Chain. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills to drive financial excellence and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Finance Leadership: Serve as primary Finance & Accounting support lead for the Chief Supply Chain Officer and actively participate as a key member of the Supply Chain Leadership Team.
  • Product Costing: Lead in product costing updates (ie, standard costs) to ensure accurate financial reporting and informed business decisions.
  • Monthly Close Process: Lead the overall monthly close process for all Total Delivered Cost (Cost of Goods Sold plus Logistics) items, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Forecasting: Provide forecast projections for all Total Delivered Cost items for all major financial updates, and ad hoc as requested.
  • Annual Budgeting: Coordinate annual budgeting and MTP (medium-term plan) financial and accounting processes for all Total Delivered Cost items.
  • Capital Project Analysis: Lead the Operations finance team on preparing capital project analysis to support business growth and expansion.
  • Financial Controls: Work closely with Manufacturing and Supply Chain organization to ensure accuracy on inventory (FG, RM, Spare parts) and implement financial controls to prevent errors.
  • Ad-Hoc Requests: Assist as needed on ad-hoc requests to support business needs.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of ten years of prior management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrated technical expertise and industry knowledge in cost accounting, general accounting, and financial planning & analysis.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required. Experience with J.D. Edwards or other large automated ERP software systems strongly preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, including business presentations and negotiations across a broad audience of internal and external constituents.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability leading large teams across geographically dispersed locations.
Compensation

The salary range for this position is $200,000 to $220,000.
