Job Title: Project Engineer for Land Development

At Horrocks, we prioritize our core values, people, and responsibility to the communities we serve. As a Project Engineer for Land Development, you will be a key contributor to various projects within the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop roadway, grading, drainage, water, and sewer plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Create accurate project deliverables such as design plans, technical reports, and specifications
  • Ensure quality assurance for all project deliverables
  • Prepare construction specifications, permitting applications, and calculations for different jurisdictions
  • Collaborate with other team members on multi-disciplinary project pursuits
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and project teams
  • Conduct technical reporting, presentations, and construction observation
Requirements:
  • Degree in civil engineering (Undergraduate or graduate)
  • EIT certification required, PE licensure preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in civil design with a focus on drainage, utility, and land development
  • Experience with drainage and utility reports for private and municipal clients
  • Strong understanding of municipal, state, and federal criteria
  • Excellent project delivery and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant software
