Position Overview:

The City of Asheville is actively seeking a dedicated Construction Supervisor to oversee the Utility Cut Program. This pivotal role involves managing the daily operations and staff within the Streets Services Division of Public Works.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Staff Management: Supervise, guide, and assess the performance of assigned personnel, ensuring effective team collaboration.
  2. Operational Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency.
  3. Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and fostering positive relationships.
  4. Work Coordination: Organize and prioritize tasks to align with departmental objectives.
  5. Financial Oversight: Manage budgetary allocations and financial activities related to the Utility Cut Program.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess an Associate degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of relevant experience, including supervisory roles. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered.
