The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Program and Fiscal Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for overseeing the general administrative and fiscal department operations.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate departmental events and provide purchasing assistance to ECE faculty and department leadership.
- Perform reconciliation for department expenses and travel, and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with requests for swipe card access, coordinate Telecom for the department, and manage and update ECE's website.
- Provide support for faculty and student administrative needs, and attend regular Travel and Purchasing trainings to stay up-to-date on current university rules and regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with experience in procurement and processing financial transactions.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and accurately achieve on-time objectives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel, and experience with financial data analysis and budget monitoring.
- Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential materials related to faculty, staff, and students.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, with experience working in a higher education setting, particularly with financial responsibilities.
- Experience with Mason Finance Gateway, Ellucian Banner, and MicroStrategy, as well as Banner, Small Purchase Cards using Works, and purchasing using eVA.
- Knowledge of P-Card and travel expense reimbursement processes, and accounting, finance, or business management, preferably in higher education.
