Job Description Summary

As a Commercial Lines Account Manager at McGriff, you will play a key role in supporting our Producer and Marketing Account Executive teams by marketing and servicing new and renewal business. You will be responsible for building and maintaining key client and carrier relationships, providing exceptional service to clients, and staying up-to-date on industry developments and legislative changes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and carrier representatives through regular communication and in-person meetings.
  2. Assist clients and teammates with service-related inquiries, including administration, billing, and claims issues.
  3. Work with the Producer and/or Marketing Account Executive to monitor and manage the renewal process for assigned clients, providing analysis and recommendations for coverage needs.
  4. Coordinate meetings with clients and/or producers to present renewal information and supporting documents, ensuring a smooth renewal process.
  5. Prepare marketing materials and provide required information to marketing personnel as needed.
  6. Schedule and conduct meetings with teammates in coordination with the Marketing Account Executive or Producer, ensuring effective implementation of new ideas and services.
  7. Prepare and deliver all applicable forms to clients in a timely manner.
  8. Develop proficiency in our client management system(s), updating policies, logging activities, and managing follow-up tasks.
  9. Provide administrative support on special projects and tasks as requested by management.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry developments and legislative changes through attendance at seminars, classes, and carrier meetings.
  11. Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by management.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training.
  2. Two years of relevant insurance industry experience.
  3. Appropriate insurance license (Property & Casualty).
  4. Strong client relations skills, including excellent communication skills and service orientation.
  5. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Advanced degree.
  2. Certification in the field of endeavor.
  3. Experience with Requests for Proposal.
