Job Description Summary

As a Commercial Lines Account Manager at McGriff, you will play a crucial role in marketing and servicing new and renewal business. You will be responsible for building and maintaining key client and carrier relationships, providing exceptional service, and ensuring seamless communication.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and carrier representatives to drive business growth and retention.
  2. Assist clients and teammates with service inquiries, resolving issues and providing solutions in a timely manner.
  3. Work closely with producers and marketing account executives to monitor and manage the renewal process, providing analysis and recommendations to clients.
  4. Coordinate meetings with clients and producers to present renewal options and supporting documents, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
  5. Prepare marketing materials and provide required information to marketing personnel to support business development efforts.
  6. Schedule and conduct meetings with teammates to implement business strategies and ensure effective communication.
  7. Prepare and deliver all necessary documents to clients, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  8. Become proficient in client management systems to update policies, log activities, and manage follow-up tasks.
  9. Provide administrative support on special projects and tasks as requested by management.
  10. Stay up-to-date with new products, legislative changes, and industry developments through seminars, classes, and carrier meetings.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training.
  • Two years of relevant insurance industry experience.
  • Appropriate insurance license (Property & Casualty).
  • Strong client relations skills, including excellent communication and service orientation.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.

Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree, certification in the field, and experience with Requests for Proposal.
