Job Description Summary

As a Commercial Lines Account Manager at McGriff, you will play a key role in supporting our Producer and Marketing Account Executive teams by marketing and servicing new and renewal business. You will be responsible for building and maintaining key client and carrier relationships, providing exceptional service to clients, and staying up-to-date on industry developments and legislative changes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and carrier representatives through regular communication and in-person meetings.
  2. Assist clients and teammates with service-related inquiries, including administration, billing, and claims issues.
  3. Work with the Producer and/or Marketing Account Executive to monitor and manage the renewal process for assigned clients, providing analysis and recommendations on coverage needs.
  4. Coordinate meetings with clients and/or producers to present renewal documents and secure client acceptance.
  5. Prepare marketing information and provide required data to marketing personnel.
  6. Schedule and conduct meetings with teammates, coordinating with the Marketing Account Executive or Producer as needed.
  7. Prepare and deliver all necessary forms to clients.
  8. Become proficient in our client management system(s), updating policies, logging activities, and managing follow-up tasks.
  9. Provide administrative support on special projects and tasks as requested by management.
  10. Attend seminars, classes, and carrier meetings to stay current on new products and legislative changes.
  11. Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by management.
Qualifications

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager with a strong background in the insurance industry. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training.
  • Two years of relevant insurance industry experience.
  • An appropriate insurance license (Property & Casualty).
  • Strong client relations skills, including excellent communication skills and a service-oriented approach.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.

Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree, certification in the field, and experience with Requests for Proposal.
